Remote Monitoring
AKA: Remote Monitoring and Reporting
| What is it? |
Server and service monitoring of customer premise equipment using Ensynch’s comprehensive monitoring system (more info) |
| Who is it for? |
Any organization either needing comprehensive first line of defense monitoring or second opinion monitoring (aka: check and balance monitoring) |
How does it work?
- Ensynch connects to the customer’s environment via a dedicated circuit (just like the circuits in IP Connectivity Offerings) or via VPN; in some cases, monitoring can be done over the Internet with no special connectivity – this is often desired to understand what the ‘end user’ might see
- Ensynch’s redundant monitoring system checks the servers/services health every 90 seconds; if a problem is found, an escalation is set to notify the appropriate personnel via cell phone, pager and/or email
- Appropriate personnel can then acknowledge the alert and begin intervention if necessary
